American Girl was my first job out of college. I started as a PR intern, moved up to Associate Editor at American Girl magazine, then became Lifestyle Editor. I eventually left to pursue another opportunity, but was soon called back in a freelance capacity to write magazine features and books, and do prop and wardrobe styling at photo shoots. I continue to do this freelance work today. My features often ranked #1 in reader surveys and one of my books won an award from the California Reading Association. Here’s what some of my coworkers have said about me:
“Aubre is a creative and enthusiastic collaborator who is also attentive down to the last detail. She has a great attitude—and she never misses a deadline.” – Therese Maring, Senior Editor, American Girl
“I’ve always been impressed with Aubre’s ability to not only come through, but to exceed my expectations. She’s the kind of person who is motivated and driven to succeed. Because of this, Aubre will always be the best person for the job.” – Paula Riley, Art Director, American Girl
